#5.0 Presentation of the 2018-19 Workshop Season

#5.0 Présentation Atelier Saison 2018-19

Open on YouTube

How can we think revolutionary thought from Rousseau to Lenin without separating the study of praxis from the consideration of the psyche?

Dominique Pagani presents the 2018-2019 season of the atelier. It comprises two quarterly themes: revolutionary thought from Rousseau to Lenin, then the question "nature or landscape?". He announces that the first cycle will not confine itself to productive forces and relations of production. He wants to restore Rousseau's gesture, taken up only by Clouscard, which indissociably links praxis and psyche; Lenin's "dreaming is necessary" points in the same direction. He will treat the sequence as a loop, both linear and circular, with Hegel as mediation. He states a disagreement: for Hegel, absolute knowledge is the end of history, for Marx, the end of humanity's prehistory. He ends on classless society, which cannot yet be thought, and opposes to the ape's shame in Nietzsche the "old savagery one forgives" of Rimbaud.
