How does Michel Clouscard analyze the capitalism of seduction born of the Marshall Plan and May 68, summed up in the formula "everything's allowed, but nothing is possible"?

This documentary retraces the life and work of Michel Clouscard. Dominique Pagani speaks alongside other interlocutors. The session starts from Clouscard's youth: the disarming of the Resistance fighters, sport, and his thesis. It then shows how the Marshall Plan installs a state monopoly capitalism that creates new middle strata. May 68 appears as the revolution of these strata: the alliance of the liberal and the libertarian evacuates the social in favor of the societal. He then analyzes the neighborhood (quartier), the anthropological training into consumption, in particular through binary music, and the distinction between capital goods and libidinal consumption. The session concludes with the observation of a working class that has become invisible, though it is still there, and with Clouscard's proposal of a Parliament of the collective worker.
