How does Michel Clouscard analyze the capitalism of seduction born of the Marshall Plan and revealed by May 68, summed up in the formula "everything is permitted, but nothing is possible"?

The documentary begins with Michel Clouscard's biography: it traces his sporting youth in Gaillac and his thesis supervised by Henri Lefebvre, then relates the shift to a state monopoly capitalism that creates new middle strata to the Marshall Plan. Dominique Pagani and other speakers then present May 68 as a liberal-libertarian counter-revolution: the societal 68 of the intellectual petty bourgeoisie covers over the working-class 68. The film examines Clouscard's quarrel with the intellectual masters of 68 (Althusser, Lévi-Strauss, Foucault). It presents the concept of the quarter, which provides the model for the new consumption, and anthropological training, shown by binary mass music. It goes on to analyze consumption in terms of class and the erasure of the working class, before presenting the project of a parliament of the collective worker.
