What does the collapsologist discourse of Pablo Servigne conceal beneath its scientific appearance?

Dominique Pagani comments on the screening of a talk by Pablo Servigne on the collapse of the industrial food system. He interrupts it often. He first sets up a dichotomy between scientific discourse and ideological discourse: the facts cited are accurate, but their arrangement, the semantic field, and the value judgments belong to ideology and the symbolic order. He then shows that this discourse confuses industry with its capitalist management, ignores the shift to financial capitalism, and joins mass unemployment and "unpopular measures." On mutual aid, he opposes to Servigne's naturalism the generic prematurity of man, the consciousness of death, and connivance. He concludes that this return to the Garden of Eden expresses the unhappy consciousness of middle strata threatened by the arrival of new consumers, and that it is a master's discourse.
