What place does music occupy between the mathematician, the poet and the philosopher, and what good use can be made of Nietzsche, the philosopher who spoke most of music?

Dominique Pagani devotes the session to answering questions from the public, on the workshops and on the musical podcasts. He starts from Rimbaud's "Conte," whose ending says that "learned music is lacking to our desire." He then recalls his triangle of the mathematician, the poet and the philosopher, and places music at its center: it speaks without saying anything, unlike mathematics. The questions lead him from Rousseau to security and social justice, from the poem according to Meschonnic to the romantic concerto, then to Plato, Aristotle and Kojève. The heart of the session concerns Nietzsche: he shows that in Nietzsche the decisive opposition is not truth and falsehood, but the healthy and the unhealthy. To prove this, he reads Nietzsche's contradictory judgments on Parsifal and his "music sister of the palm tree." He ends with Rousseau and romanticism, Germany as seen by Nietzsche, and the link between the rule of law and sovereignty.
