How should we read Michel Clouscard's Les Chemins de la praxis, and why does this book oppose Heidegger, philosopher of the counter-revolution, to Plato, philosopher of the revolution?

Dominique Pagani presents Les Chemins de la praxis, Michel Clouscard's last work. He first situates it in its context: a book written in solitude, at the beginning of the counter-revolution of the 1970s, and amid a struggle against illness. He then places the work outside the opposition between philosophy and the human sciences, on the terrain of dialectic. He clarifies the form of the book through transcendental irony and draws out Clouscardian categories: the worldly, the world distinguished from the Earth, totality. He then shows that the book opens with a diptych. Lévi-Strauss and Heidegger are presented as accomplices, and Heidegger is then opposed to Plato, who serves as its antidote. He grounds this reading in the preface to Hegel's Elements of the Philosophy of Right and in Aristotle's Metaphysics, and arrives at the thesis common to Clouscard and Hegel: if the question of being appears, it is because it is already lost, and philosophy always comes too late.
