Why does Plato's allegory of the cave already contain the whole program of philosophy, from knowledge to the return to politics?

One session was lost. Dominique Pagani therefore recapitulates the course of the workshops starting from the allegory of the cave, where "the whole progression" of philosophy is already found. He first establishes that in Plato politics frames philosophy at both ends: a political trauma at the origin, reported in the Seventh Letter, and the descent back into the cave at the end. He then reconstructs on the board the ascent from doxa to dianoia, then to dialectic and theoria, up to the idea of the good which gives "growth and nourishment." He insists on the descent: there is no individual salvation, man is a zoon politikon. He goes through Descartes, d'Alembert, Hume, Kant and Planck to discuss the dream of a pure origin and dogmatic confidence in the order of the real. He arrives at the only modification that moderns must bring to the scheme: replacing the good with freedom, which passes through the negative, the black sun of Nerval, Nietzsche and Freud.
